Lenore RS Lim is a dedicated artist in the medium of printmaking. The central motif in her work concerns deeply personal experiences of childhood and nostalgic memories of nature and culture her motherland. Her work is noteworthy for its clean, delicate and subtle style with surprising mark for effectiveness and voice.
Lenore has done solo shows in Canada, the USA., Europe, the Middle-East, and Asia. In 1998, was also named as one of Twelve Outstanding Filipino Artists Overseas by the Metropolitan Museum in the Philippines. The following year, Lenore was awarded a grant by the Pollock-Krasner Foundation in recognition of her work. In 2000, she was honored with an Outstanding Art Award by the Ma-Yi Theatre Company of New York. The College of the Holy Spirit, her High School alma mater also honored her that same year with an award for Outstanding Alumna in the Field of Art.
Lenore was one of the 50 artists chosen to participate in a mammoth art exhibit at the United Nations in at the World Women’s Conference in 2000. She continued to hoist the banner of Filipino artists with her installation at the Venice Open 2002 . Lenore is represented in New York by Paul Sharpe Contemporary Art.
